Uh, so if you're looking at this layout like "Wtf", I really don't blame you!
I started vectoring back in April and I guess this is a representation of my progress?? I actually drew the vector for Chiyo last April and haven't been able to use it, so I was really happy when I was able to make this website. Otou-san and the Chiyo on the bottom were both taken from screenshots and took maybe ten minutes each - no biggie. But this layout was very much not like that. I had never made "scenery" with vectors, so it was a real challenge to get the scene to look fun and fitting with Chiyo and Otou-san, but still recognizable as a beach. I was going for more of an "animation" look, if you couldn't tell!
My biggest gripe with this layout is the fact that I couldn't bring myself to spend more time on it. If I had added a few more oddities, besides the half-assed shell and crab, I think this layout really would have come to life. But alas, laziness won out in the end. Sorry, Chiyo. And the white spirals are supposed to be wind somehow, and the stars are just there because I really like stars!
